As an important economical hub with its overseas harbour and its role as media and culture centre the metropolis on the Elbe ties in with it’s own great traditions boasting typical Hanseatic self esteem. Not surprisingly, as Germany’s second largest city (1.8 million inhabitants) Hamburg offers highest quality of life in an international ambiance. Boredom is practically unknown.
