A special highlight for our apprentices: accompanied by their apprenticeship and study coordinator Mr Kapp and the hotel manager Mr Ungermann, they went on an unforgettable trip to Prague at the end of October!

In order to gather as many impressions as possible, the schedule was tight. The group met at 5.30 am at the main railway station to start their journey by train. They arrived at the hotel around midday and after a short breather, the Golden City was waiting to be discovered. The trip began with a picturesque boat trip on the Moldau, which offered a wonderful first impression of Prague with a marvellous view of the old town. Afterwards, the group enjoyed dinner together, where the anticipation of the next few days was palpable. The rest of the evening was at leisure – perfect for exploring Prague on your own.

The next morning, the day started with breakfast together, followed by an exciting city tour. For three hours, the apprentices were given interesting insights and information about the city and its famous sights. A particular highlight was the visit to Prague Castle, whose impressive architecture and history fascinated everyone.

After a short lunch break in a cosy café in the city centre, a visit to the Franz Kafka Museum was on the agenda – a fascinating and educational experience for everyone.

In the evening, there was another dinner together, where typical Czech delicacies were served.

On the last day, free time was scheduled after breakfast. While some apprentices went for a stroll through the city and explored the magnificent alleyways, others enjoyed the special flair of Prague in one of the charming cafés. The group finally set off on their return journey at around 12.00 pm, and after a long journey they arrived safely back in Hamburg at around 9.00 pm, having gained many new impressions!
