The online check-in
Many are familiar with it from different airlines or even car rental companies - the uncomplicated check-in on your smartphone or PC. When you arrive at the hotel, however, you are usually asked to fill out a piece of paper with your data? This is the so-called registration form. Period of stay, address, phone number, etc. had to be filed here. Unfortunately, the law does not allow you to skip this step. However, we have now digitalized and simplified this very process for you. As soon as we open our doors again, you can also check-in at our hotel on your smartphone!

How does it work?
Quite simply and without an additional app! If you make a reservation in our house (group travel excluded) and have deposited your e-mail address when booking, you will receive an e-mail with all the important facts about your stay and a link to the online check-in before your arrival. This will take you to the digital registration form. All the required data that you have already provided us with during the booking process will be listed there. What you can do then: Simply complete the missing information, sign with your finger - done! Your data will reach us immediately and securely. Upon arrival at the hotel, simply pick up your key card and enjoy your stay. Don't worry, if you don't want to use the online check-in, you can of course still check in on site at the reception. Here, the registration form can also be filled out on a tablet in digital form.

What are the advantages of digital check-in?
Since the paperwork is already done in advance, we have even more time to focus on you and, if desired, chat longer! When you arrive, there is more time for a warm welcome, a short chat and the best Hamburg tips. In addition, waiting times at the reception are much less frequent during busy times. Especially during Corona, this is certainly an advantage, as we can efficiently reduce contacts. The environment also benefits, because before the pandemic we used around 100,000 registration forms a year, or rather a whole 500 kilograms of paper.

Why is a digital solution available at such a late stage?
The path for the digital registration certificate was already cleared by politicians in 2019. In order to implement the process at the hotel, software is required that automatically communicates with our hotel program. This solution is associated with a high cost and workload. Every company has its peculiarities and certain processes. The hotel industry is no different. Finding a software solution that could be adapted specifically to us and our needs took quite some time. Since last year we have been actively working on an implementation and since February we are finally prepared and eagerly waiting to welcome you back.
