Hamburg, 09 September 2022

On 15.08.2022, we, the Empire Riverside Hotel with our partner hotel, the Hotel Hafen Hamburg, as well as all external companies with whom we work closely, celebrated our Summer Party 2022 at Strand Pauli. A total of almost 500 employees were invited, as we had a lot of catching up to do due to Covid-19 and the resulting 2-year cancellation of the Summer Party.

From 16:00 onwards, colleagues were given a warm welcome. There was a very relaxed and informal atmosphere, whether directly after or before a shift, on a day off or on holiday, everyone was there to forget the hotel routine for a few hours and celebrate together.

At the entrance to Strand Pauli, the colleagues were greeted by our apprentices with a refreshing drink or a welcome shot. The consistently cool drinks were just the right thing, especially as the Hamburg weather did honour to summer days and showed itself from its most beautiful side.

In the afternoon, the all-you-can-eat buffet began, where everyone could really enjoy themselves. There was something for everyone, as there was a large selection of meat and fresh fish as well as vegetarian dishes such as various salads, halloumi, falafels, pasta salad, rice and vegetables.

At the same time as the buffet, a tombola organised by our apprentices started with many different prizes. The money raised was donated to the St. Pauli Church for a good cause. There was a lot to win, from the hotel's own products like soap sets and socks, which you can also buy in our hotel shop, to 20up glasses and spirits, to internal restaurant and accommodation vouchers. We really wanted to give something back to our colleagues, without whom the whole operation would not be possible.
