The over 400- meter- long Elbtunnel has been connecting the Landungsbrücken to the other side of the Elbe since back in 1911. The Tunnel was then a technical sensation and is today listed under the protection of monuments. It is possible to cross the tunnel around the clock by foot or bike and enjoy the view from the other side of the river Elbe.
Planten un Blomen - the green heart at the center of the big city. Numerous green gardens with different themes are waiting for you. The Japanese garden is one of the largest in Europe. During winter, the big skatepark turns into the biggest open-air ice rink in Germany.

The Stadtpark is located in the north of Hamburg. Many events and concerts take place in the park that also holds Hamburg’s planetarium. The green grasses are a great spot for a barbeque with a dip in the nature baths (fee required) or a swim off the banks of the Alster itself!
