We are proud to announce that our guests will be welcomed by one of the best receptionists in Germany! Our colleague Josephine Waschek was able to prove herself and took second place in this year's AICR "Receptionist of the Year" competition.

In 2016 Mrs. Waschek started her Hospitality education. Over the three years, she was able to gain a solid overview of all areas in the hotel and get to know most of the departments. Since the successful completion of her education in 2019, Mrs. Waschek has joined our Front Office Team.

"It is great fun for me to be a good host and to fulfill the wishes and needs of our guests at all times. Participating in the competition was the ideal way for me to prove my skills and develop them further," says Josephine Waschek.

Thanks to a creative video of her application, she was admitted to the demanding contest at Mandarin Oriental Munich. Every year, the competition honors the most committed and competent junior staff in the hotel industry with the aim of identifying and promoting young talent. On site, a total of 11 selected junior staff had to take a written and oral examination and take part in a complex role play, all in English.

We are very proud of the special award that Josephine Waschek brought back to Hamburg and congratulate her for her commitment and great performance.
